Family Weekend in Erie, PA

Updated: Jan 31

We took a weekend trip to Erie in Northwestern Pennsylvania last spring, and it was a perfect getaway with the family. I’m excited to share with you a few of our favorite activities we did with the girls! ☀️

✨Splash Lagoon 💦

@splashlagoon_erie provides hours of indoor water fun for all ages, including the largest indoor wave pool in the Eastern US!

✨expERIEnce Children’s Museum 🚗

The girls had a blast exploring all the fun activities at the @eriekidsmuseum . GG’s favorite was the water table, and Josie’s was the grocery store shopping area. Did you know? They’re currently finishing a HUGE renovation and will be opening the new sections at the end of June. I got a sneak peek of the new additions, and it is going to be AMAZING. It will include a whole floor of water fun (including a giant ship and the second longest water table in the U.S.).

✨Erie Zoo 🦁

The @eriezoo was one of our favorite zoos we have been to. It had a diverse array of animals that aren’t commonly seen (such as the red panda and orangutan) and a mix of educational activities sprinkled throughout for families to enjoy (such as a train ride). Our favorite part? It wasn’t overwhelming to get around in, and was easy to navigate for little legs and a stroller.

✨Presque Isle State Park⛵️

Presque Isle is a 3,200-acre peninsula that arches into Lake Erie. As Pennsylvania’s only “seashore,” Presque Isle offers a beautiful coastline and many recreational activities, including swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, and bicycling*.
