Hello, I'm Sarah Jayne

Thanks for stopping by! I am a millennial wife, mama, and educator. My life has been an eclectic mix of experiences that have led me to where I am today. An educator by trade (M.Ed.) with nearly a decade of working in higher education, much of who I am as a content creator is shaped through an educational lens. Because knowledge and education is foundational for growth.

I started my social media pages in 2021 as a way to chronicle my daily life and connect with other women. at the time, I was a new mama of 2 who was on maternity leave with my second. My accounts are committed to providing a raw and authentic glimpse of my life. Let's be real - there is a lot of unhelpful motherhood content out there. Lots of focus on the smiles and talking about the joys of motherhood, but not much vulnerability with discussing the challenges. I am committed to providing both - the joy, and the raw. I am open about my personal struggles with postpartum mental health and pregnancy loss, but I will also be the first one to celebrate my family's milestones and accomplishments. Because that's real life - the highs right alongside the lows.

I'm an Iowa girl at heart, having spent the first 24 years of my life living in the Midwest where my family still reides. My husband's family is from Latin America, and it has been a beautifully messy journey raising our girls, ages 2 and 5 years, in a bilingual and multicultural environment. A big update from my family is that are currently going through the process of infant adoption, and hope to complete our family through adoption in 2024.

On my pages, I will provide a glimpse into the activities, travels, and lifestyle of our family as we explore the Mid-Atlantic U.S. and beyond! I've been to 36 countries with no plans to stop traveling anytime soon. I'm excited to show how travel is possible for young families, it just requires a bit more planning and preparation. My oldest daughter had 4 stamps in her passport by the time she was 8 months old, so it is absolutely possible to travel with young children, and I'm here to share how we do it.

And to end out, here are two truths and a lie about me. Which do you think is false?

  • I have never broken a bone.

  • I got my B.S. in Marketing.

  • I can play 8 instruments.
